MANTA+V2 benchtop inspection scope is a portable microscope probe designed for inspection of all types of single fiber with a ride range of inspection tips including CS, SN, LC, FC, SC, E2000™, QSFP, ARINC, MIL Spec termini, High-power SMA and more. The MANTA+V2 inspection scope uses the MAX INSPECT measurement and reporting software which comes with automatic pass-fail analysis. The MAX INSPECT software is the same platform used with the SUMIX interferometers. This makes it easy for operators to switch between end face inspection and end face geometry measurements.

The dimension of the MANTA V2+ are 7.5 cm (3”) height × 2.8 cm (1.1”) width × 23.3 cm (9.2”) length. The unit weighs 475 g (1.05 lbs) making it ideal for benchtop applications.
The inspection for MT end faces is a two scan process. The first step is to scan the left half of the end face. Rotate the the probe’s tip to scan the right end of the end face. The MaxInspect software will stitch the images together and consolidate the measurements into a single report.
The inspections times including the rotation of the scope would be:
- 6.5 sec for 12 fiber MPO
- 6.9 sec for 16 fiber MPO
- 9.7 sec for 24 fiber MPO
