The Product Manager is pivotal in managing a specific line of products within SENKO, particularly those targeted for data center applications and connectivity solutions. This role involves end-to-end oversight, from development through to sales. Key responsibilities include analyzing market trends and customer needs within the data center space to develop competitive strategies, managing the full product lifecycle, and collaborating across R&D, engineering, marketing, and sales to ensure alignment with product objectives and market demands.   • Fully understand company strategy and expectations, proactively seeking ways to maximize the profitability of assigned products, particularly within the data center market
  • Manage the product development cycle for new products, from initial conceptualization through to a successful product launch, with a focus on data center market demands
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to provide targeted information, insights, and direction for effective product promotion, assisting with the development and refinement of marketing strategies tailored to the data center space
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and competitors to ensure that products remain competitive and well-positioned within the industry
  • Develop long-term product development and sales strategies in coordination with management, with an emphasis on achieving strong market positioning and growth in the data center segment
  • Create pricing models and forecast profitability to inform decision-making and ensure financial targets are met
  • Conduct in-depth research to identify and anticipate customer needs and expectations, guiding the development of new, innovative products that address market gaps, particularly for data center applications
  • Enhance product knowledge for Sales team members to improve customer interactions and increase the team’s capability to sell data center-focused solutions effectively
  • Prepare and arrange sales support materials (e.g., flyers, specification sheets) that reinforce sales activities and ensure consistency across all documentation
  • Increase end-user engagement through spec-in activities and direct collaboration with the Outside Sales team, aiming to boost product adoption and brand loyalty
  • Expand business through joint travel and coordinated efforts with Outside Sales, building strong customer relationships and targeting high-impact accounts
  • Champion a holistic “Design-Test-Manufacturing” approach, working closely with Outside Sales to ensure all elements of the product journey align with strategic goals and customer expectations
  • Maintain and oversee product documentation, from detailed specifications sheets to marketing collateral, ensuring accuracy and relevance to evolving customer needs
  • Provide technical support for products, both internally to colleagues and externally to clients, establishing a reliable point of contact for troubleshooting and expertise
  • Participate in regional trade shows, representing the company’s product lines and gathering insights on industry trends and competitor activity
  • Track and report on trending products and emerging technologies to anticipate shifts in market demand and guide future product development
  • Identify new target accounts and markets by attending trade shows, with a specific focus on identifying data center-focused opportunities for expansion

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering preferred. Other technical degree, or equivalent work-related experience will also be considered
  • Entry Level exposure in fiber optics is required
  • 2 years of experience in managing projects or products involving tangible goods required
  • Ability to travel up to 40%, including internationally, to support sales, customer engagements, and trade shows required
  • Technical product knowledge/background is preferred but not required
  • Experience working in global markets or coordinating with cross-functional teams across different regions is strongly preferred
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with additional knowledge of project management software and CRM tools being a plus

The main purpose of this role is to support the Product Management Group with engineering related activities to develop new fiber optic connectivity and passive technology solutions. The individual will often work directly with the customer to understand their needs and requirements. The applicant will have the ability to lead the customer in the right direction and assist them in determining solutions with a current product or customizing of a product to suit their needs.
The Application Engineer must possess the ability to be a fiber optic technical lead of the Product Management Group and move projects forward based on challenges that arise. The applicant will be expected to analyze information as it comes in and make educated decisions on the information discovered. The applicant will be expected to communicate findings internally and directly with customers.   • Assist with the introduction of new products and technologies, ensuring a smooth transition from R&D to the market.
  • Provide technical expertise on fiber optic products and applications to both internal teams and customers.

The Project Coordinator for R&D is responsible for managing the operational aspects of new product development projects from initiation through product release. Key responsibilities include tracking project progress, negotiating tooling and unit costs, and providing status updates to management. The Project Coordinator works closely with Product Development Engineers and Product Managers (PMs) to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all specified requirements.

  • Organize project kick-off meetings to initiate new projects, define project goals, establish delivery timelines, draft project plans, and identify key milestones.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field

The Associate Project Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the R&D team. The team is responsible for monitoring the process of developing new products until the time of product release. Main responsibilities include data entry, monitoring project progress, and communicating status to both internal and external customers.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Gather information about project oversight, market information and customer requirements
  • Record and update New Product Development SharePoint/Team site including updating relevant project management records
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders to gather expectations including timelines for given projects
  • Monitor status of all projects and communicate any delay with R&D team
  • Arrange and maintain development samples with detailed information of the parts
  • Arrange critical material and collect information for evaluation
  • Assemble engineering/sales samples or mechanical test equipment
  • Work with Product Manager’s to optimize inventory with customer demand
  • Issue and record project change log to achieve the project change
  • Work with Engineering team to source materials for new product development using knowledge of manufacturers capabilities, vendor resources, and material knowledge
  • Work with Senko Global team to handle R&D sample arrangement
