The SENKO LC family of singlemode and multimode connectors, adapters and associated components are manufactured under a worldwide license from OFS Fitel, formerly known as Lucent Technologies. The LC is a small form factor (SFF) connector and is ideal for high density applications. A Behind the Wall (BTW) version is available with short connector and boot for ultracompact requirements.
The LC connector has a zirconia ceramic ferrule measuring 1.25mm O.D. with either a PC or APC endface, and provides optimum insertion and return loss.* The LC connector is used on small diameter mini-cordage (1.6mm/2.0mm) as well as 3.0mm cable. LC Connectors are available in pre-assembled or kit (unassembled) formats. The SENKO LC Adapters are available in simplex and duplex configurations and fit the standard RJ-45 panel cutout. They feature selfadjusting panel latches and a choice of mounting orientations with labeled polarity. A choice of zirconia ceramic or phosphor bronze split sleeve is available. The LC connector family is Telcordia, ANSI/EIA/TIA and IEC compliant.

The Senko LC-HD's lever design utilizes a flexible "pull-tab" allowing for the connector to be disengaged easily from densely loaded panels without need for special tools.
In the days before the enko LC-HD connector, the LC adapter spacing was limited by the room required to reach LC connectors with the human fingersor with special tools. The overall height of standard LC connectors also required a small vertical space above and below the LC adaptors The low profile Senko LC-HD, together with it's pull tab allow LC adapters to be stacked with absolutely no vertical space.
Because the Senko LC-HD connector can be removed using a simple pull tab, it eliminates the need for finger access to the LC connectors latch mechanism, therefore LC adapters can now be mounted much closer than spacing required in the past.
This compact, easy to terminate connector kit, uses standard Senko LC back post and crimp design and therefore can be used with any of the Senko standard LC boots with multiple color options, including the LC Flex-Angle Boot. The connector can be used in any system using LC duplex and quad adapters. The unique design uses round style 2mm or 3mm jacketed cables instead of zipcord duplex cables, reducing cable size and making cable management easier in today’s highly dense applications
The housing of the LC Duplex Switchable Connector can be taken apart in the field without the use of any special tooling. This duplex LC allows the fiber polarity to be switched at the time of cable assembly installation without having to re-terminate the connectors.

or twisting of the fiber
SENKO LC Adapters are available in simplex and duplex configurations. They feature self-adjusting panel latches as well as a choice of mounting orientations, and labeled polarity.
Singlemode and multimode LC adapters come with a choice of zirconia ceramic or phosphor bronze split sleeves, including zirconia diagonal split sleeves for PC and APC applications.
For SC-configured environments, SENKO offers LC Duplex and Quad Adapters with SC Footprint, with a choice of flange or no flange type.
LC Connectors are available in pre-assembled or kit (unassembled) formats.

SENKO introduces a TRUE one piece housing design for the LC Simplex Adapter. Available now in both the flanged type and also the no-flange type. This TRUE one piece housing design has proven to be a more rugged design over the typical ultrasonic welded split flange type AND the “pseudo” one piece design which has an ultrasonic welded cover.
The TRUE one piece housing eliminates this welded seam and results in an adapter housing that will survive side forces that will break an adapter with a welded seam type construction. The breaking strength of the TRUE one piece design also surpasses the current one piece design with the welded cover. In addition to the seam that is eliminated by the one-piece housing construction, the other noticeable difference will be the color.
The plastic used in the TRUE one piece design is PBT, 15% glass filler. This is different from the welded seam adapter plastic (PEI), and from the current one piece adapter (PBT, 20% glass filler). This choice in PBT material for the TRUE one piece design is the same material used for the LC connector outer housings so the color of the adapter will always match the color of the LC outer housing.
With increasingly high-powered active devices being used in today’s networking and telecommunication platforms, eye safety and connector cleanliness are an absolute necessity. Senko’s dustproof LC adapter with Internal shutter has been designed to meet this growing need.
You can actuate this integrated, retractable shutter inside the adapter body by inserting the LC connector into the adapter. The shutter automatically opens as you insert the LC connector, and closes as you extract it. Due to the special design of the shutter, it will not touch the ferrule end face when you insert a connector, thus preventing endface damage. The internal shutter prevents eye exposure to lasers and provides protection from dust and other contaminants.
SENKO Keyed LC Connector Solution offers mechanical network security for organizations wanting to segregate networks due to privacy or security concerns.
The Keyed LC Connector features a compact, pull-proof design with RJ-45 style interface, and features a one-piece molded housing with internal strength member, for significantly improved 90º side-pull performance under Telcordia GR-326-CORE testing. It is manufactured using a ruggedized material that results in a latch trigger up to four times stronger than average.
